Glass artist Ryan Bledsoe, proprietor of The Edge studio and gallery in South Beach, has created a series of glass oysters for use as trophies in the chef's competition at the fifth annual "Oyster Cloyster Festival on the Oregon Coast," set for 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Saturday at the Oregon Coast Aquarium in South Beach. The event is the primary fund-raising endeavor of the Oregon Coast Community College Foundation and will feature unique oyster dishes (and a few non-seafood items) created by Northwest chefs, fine wines and desserts, and live entertainment as well as a fund-raising raffle.
